Just two months ago, under the bright sunshine of the Cruise in Arles, the second edition of Jour de Marché was held. This creators’ market in Arles brought together around fifteen talented creators, who came to exhibit their works in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The people of Arles, seduced by this explosion of creativity, were able to discover unique worlds and irresistible creations, each reflecting the soul and passion of its artisan. This day, bathed in sunshine and good humor, left an indelible mark on the hearts of the participants, organizers, and the public.
First successful designer market in Arles
Dès le début, Jour de Marché s’est imposé comme un événement incontournable pour les amoureux de l’artisanat, du design et de la mode à Arles. La première édition, organisée avec soin et passion par une équipe dévouée, a dépassé toutes les attentes. L’atmosphère était imprégnée de bienveillance, où chaque stand reflétait l’authenticité et l’originalité des créatrices présentes. A l’ombre des voiles d’ombrage de la Croisière, les visiteurs ont pu se promener parmi les étals, découvrir des pièces uniques, échanger avec les créatrices, et s’immerger dans une ambiance à la fois détendue et inspirante.
Le succès de cette première édition de marché de créateurs à Arles a été immédiat et retentissant. Les retours positifs des créatrices et des visiteurs ont rapidement poussé les organisatrices à envisager une deuxième édition. Et c’est ainsi que, presque instantanément, l’idée de Jour de Marché #2 est née, avec l’envie de faire encore mieux, encore plus grand, et de prolonger cette aventure créative et humaine.
Une Deuxième Édition tout aussi réussie : Jour de Marché #2
This second edition, called Jour de Marché #2, was held on August 24, 2024 from 2 p.m., still at La Croisière in Arles. This second chapter of a creators’ market that has already won the hearts of the people of Arles was even more enchanting and memorable. This time, the event took on a special dimension, as it took place until 10 p.m., for a unique “by night” experience. This night version added a touch of magic and conviviality, allowing visitors to enjoy a gentle end to the day, while discovering unique creations under the golden light of the Arlesian sunset.
A Designers Market in Arles Full of Love
Jour de Marché #2 was, like the first edition, an event “full of love”, where kindness and generosity were at the rendezvous. The creators who participated brought with them this passion that drives them, this desire to share their art and to build relationships with visitors. This market is more than just a place of sale: it is a real experience, a moment of sharing and exchange, where everyone can be inspired, discover and appreciate artisanal work in all its diversity.
The stands were once again populated with unique creations: clothing, accessories, decorative objects, illustrations, and much more. Each piece exhibited was an invitation to dive into the world of its creator, to discover the story behind each object, and to leave with a piece of this creative passion. The atmosphere was festive, friendly and open, true to the spirit of the designer market.
The Cruise: A Unique and Inspiring Setting
The choice of the Cruise as the venue for Market Day is no coincidence. This space, both urban and natural, offers an ideal setting for an event of this type. With its white Ibizan-style walls, its large spaces and its relaxed atmosphere, the Cruise is perfectly suited to setting up stands and welcoming visitors. It is a place where you feel good, where you can stroll, chat, discover, while enjoying the charm of the Arlesian summer.
In addition, catering points and a bar are available on site, allowing visitors to relax, enjoy a meal or a refreshment while enjoying the event.
The night version of this second edition allowed visitors to enjoy the Cruise under a different light, soft and soothing, conducive to relaxation and discovery. The setting was enhanced by carefully installed lighting to create an intimate and warm atmosphere, perfect for an evening designer market.
A Rich and Varied Program
Beyond the stands, Jour de Marché #2 also offered a program rich in entertainment. The event was punctuated by musical moments, with the presence of a DJ from 7 p.m. to bring a rhythmic touch to this creative day. The music accompanied the visitors throughout their stroll, creating an even more festive atmosphere.
In addition, the market was an opportunity for visitors to participate in creative workshops, organized by some of the creators present. These DIY workshops allowed everyone to get their hands dirty, discover new techniques, and leave with their own creation, made on site. Whether you are passionate about crafts or simply curious, these workshops are a moment of sharing and discovery, in keeping with the friendly and participatory spirit of Jour de Marché.
Steezywave: Fashion, Music and Good Vibes on Cruise
Steezywave had the chance to participate in this second edition of Croisière Market Day! Our booth was filled with good vibes with our t-shirts, vinyls, and other stylish nuggets that attracted curious and passionate people.
We tried to set up a space that was both stylish and warm, perfect to welcome our visitors. The booth was decorated with several t-shirts on display, showcasing our original and modern designs. On the table, we placed an assortment of vinyls, carefully placed, adding a retro and artistic touch to the whole. You could also discover other products such as accessories and small creative objects (caps, tote bags, felt, mugs…). The atmosphere was friendly, with a clean and neat layout that highlighted each piece.
In addition to the visually appealing booth, you could hear music in the background, broadcast to create a relaxed atmosphere. This music selection reflected the style of the vinyls we were selling. The music perfectly complemented the Steezywave universe, highlighting both the fashion side with the graphic t-shirts and the artistic and musical side with the vinyls. A real spot for culture and good vibes enthusiasts!
